If you are planning on hiring a car to do some off road sightseeing when you're in the Algarve be aware that Hertz vehicles, including 4x4s, are to be used only on normal roads and driving off-campus is a violation of the rental agreement. To stop you getting lost it may be wise to hire a Hertz GPS System especially if will be new to the area.

Ensure you check for any scratches or breakages on the vehicle before you drive off. If you find any scratches then make sure it is on the document that highlights the condition of the car.

Booking online before you leave can make you a saving or around 10%. The fees at the rental desk in the terminal are always more expensive so we advise everyone to book in advances.
